About Our Founder

It all began with an idea. As an early adopter to social media, his first formal role in digital communications came in 2008 when he served as part of an innovative team to lead efforts for the Social Media Task force at a large, public university in Ohio. Since then, Dr. Gooden has served in a wide range of professional roles overseeing marketing teams, executing digital communication strategy, and developing integrated marketing campaigns. Dr. Gooden has worked with several entrepreneurs, higher education organizations, and non-profits in creating an online presence.

Carlos holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication (with a concentration in Public Relations) as well as a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Toledo. As a reflection of his commitment to the powerful impacts of storytelling, Dr. Gooden earned a Graduate Certificate in Marketing from the University of Cincinnati’s Lindner College of Business. Most recently, he earned his Ph.D. in Educational Administration at the University of New Orleans.
